Focused pronunciation feedback
Automatic corrections focus on the two TH sounds—/θ/ as in think and /ð/ as in this—and American R. Other selectable sounds are available for practice without automatic correction.
Detected IPA is a model estimate. Marked differences are prompts to listen and retry; natural pronunciation variants and recognition errors can affect the result. SpeakSignal can miss a difference or flag a sound you pronounced correctly. It is a practice aid, not a pronunciation test or certification.
Practice stays on your iPhone
No account, API key, subscription, or in-app purchase is required. Recording analysis and sentence generation run on the device. The app does not upload or save your microphone recordings as audio files.
The included practice library works offline after app setup. Apple-managed model and optional voice downloads can require an internet connection. Read the iPhone privacy policy.
Device and voice requirements
The app supports iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Fresh AI sentences and custom topics require an Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone with iOS 26 or later, Apple Intelligence enabled, and its on-device model ready. The included practice library remains available without Apple Intelligence.
Listen uses an installed American English voice. For a more natural example, optionally download Ava (Premium), if available, or another Premium voice in iPhone Settings. A Premium voice is not required.
